Hopewell Veterinary Group is seeking a

Veterinary Assistant/Technician Assistant and 

Part-time receptionist.

Veterinarian Assistant/Technician Assistant:

Hopewell Veterinary Group is seeking assistants to help both veterinarians 

and veterinary technicians on a FULL-TIME basis with room to grow and learn. 

 

Experience is helpful, but not required. 

On the job training that provides a constant learning experience 

 

Duties include:

 

  • Assist with animal handling for veterinarians and veterinary technicians

  • Assist with blood draws and patient treatments

  • Perform some patient treatments

  • Run in house lab tests (blood tests, urinalysis, fecal)

  • Assist with various tasks in the surgical and prep area: assist technicians with surgical prep, radiographs, blood draws, assist with patient intake/discharge, 

  • Must have excellent attention to detail, and able to work under pressure. 

  • Client communication and education

  • Computer entry and record keeping

  • Able to lift/carry dogs and cats of various sizes

  • General grooming: Trim nails, clean ears, comb out, clip hair

  • Feeding, cleaning, and medicating hospitalized patients

  • General cleaning: offices, surgical area, cages, etc. 

  • Occasional surgical tool cleaning, set up

 

*Note: This can be a physically demanding position that requires the ability to be on your feet for many hours, as well as lift and carry patients.

Receptionist Position:

The Hopewell Veterinary Group is currently seeking motivated receptionists

on a PART- time basis.

 

Experience is helpful, but not required. 

We always encourage learning opportunities and room to grow within the practice. 

 

Duties include:

  • Answering phones and taking messages

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Cleaning offices, waiting room, and reception area

  • Computer entry 

  • Delivering client education and information

  • Some animal handling (example: during check-in, check-out, weighing the animal)

  • Running fecal samples and urine samples

 

Personal Required Qualifications: 

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of the day
